STANFIELD — A reliable source in law enforcement tells us that the Umatilla Morrow County Major Crimes Team has been activated to investigate a shooting in Stanfield. The victim was reportedly shot four times in the chest, neck, and head, and there was speculation it was an act of road rage. Lifeflight transported the victim to a critical care center.
The law enforcement agency that will take the lead on the investigation has not been officially announced. We also do not have an official statement regarding the condition of the victim of the shooting and whether an arrest has been made or a suspect has been named.
At this time, the Oregon Department of Transportation is still reporting a traffic disruption along US-395
near milepost 10.46 due to law enforcement activity.
