Fire destroys home in Stanfield

STANFIELD – A single-story manufactured home was destroyed by fire Friday in Stanfield.
Umatilla County Fire District No. 1 responded at around 12:34 p.m. to the North Slope Mobile Home Park to find the home engulfed in flames. Crews responded aggressively to prevent further spread.
Both the home and a vehicle were heavily damaged, but no injuries were reported. The cause remains under investigation.
Umatilla Rural Fire Protection District also responded and UCFD No. 1 noted how important these mutual aid partnerships are.
“Having the right resources at the right time is critical to protecting lives and property throughout our communities,” said UCFD No. 1 in a statement.
