TOUCHET – The Touchet School District Board of Directors posted a statement on the district’s website to clarify what it called misconceptions regarding a petition circulating in the community.
The statement, released Wednesday, noted that the names of one or more board members appeared on a petition involving concerns about district personnel.
Board members said no one on the board organized, initiated, sponsored, or is participating in the petition. They added that the inclusion of their names was not authorized.
“The Board remains committed to carrying out its responsibilities in accordance with district policy, state law, and established personnel procedures,” the statement read. “Concerns regarding district employees will continue to be addressed through the appropriate administrative and legal processes.”
