WWCSO is investigating a death

TOUCHET – A deceased man was found in the Walla Walla River on Wednesday afternoon after a rollover accident on Byrnes Road near the Touchet Cliffs.

The Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Office said they received a report at around 3:46 p.m. that a fisherman had found the male deceased outside of the vehicle. Dive and rescue was called to assist the removal of the man and the vehicle. A local towing company transported the vehicle to the county lot.

The identity of the man has not been released pending next of kin notification.
