Summary

The Walla Walla Public Library Is Moving! Thanks to incredible support from our community and generous donors, the Walla Walla Public Library at 238 E. Alder Street will be undergoing a full-building renovation beginning the week of June 8, 2026. In preparation for the estimated year-long construction project, the Walla Walla Public Library is moving all services to a temporary location at 115 W. Main Street in Walla Walla, right next door to the Washington Federal Bank and across the street from the Farmers Market shelter and Valley Transit Transfer Center. Join us for a Library Send-Off Party and Surplus Sale at the Alder Street building on Saturday, June 6, 2026 for pizza, games, and the opportunity to be part of library history! Along with enjoying fun activities and treats, attendees who have contributed to the campaignโ€”or who make a donation at the eventโ€”are invited to โ€œMake Your Markโ€ on the current building. Donors may sign their names or leave messages on the library walls in recognition of their support of The Next Chapter Library Capital Campaign. These names and messages will remain on the walls as they are covered with insulation during construction. Surplus library furniture and fixtures will also be for sale during the party. All purchased items must be removed from the premises at time of sale or no later than 3:00 pm, June 6, 2026. The Walla Walla Public Library will reopen to the public at the temporary location at 115 W. Main Street during the week of June 8, 2026.
