UPDATE: I-84 reopened near Stanfield, fire under control

STANFIELD – Interstate 84 has reopened after being closed late Friday afternoon due to a wildfire in the area.

Umatilla County Fire District No. 1 says the large brush fire has been contained, but crews will remain on-site with concerns over heavy winds in the area.

So far there are no reports of injuries or damaged structures, the cause is under investigation.
