MORROW COUNTY – Preliminary results are in for Morrow County.

In contested races, for the Morrow County Board of Commissioners Position 2, Torrie Philippi Griggs has the lead with 48.67 percent of the votes. Kelly Doherty has 29.92 percent while Valerie Ballard has 20.89 percent

For Morrow County Board of Commissioners Position 3 David Sykes is in the lead with 52.84 percent of the vote while Heather Baumgartner has 45.92 percent.

Greg Smith is leading Jim Doherty for state representative in their home county. Several counties’ results go into this race.

Morrow County voters turned a big thumbs down to the gas tax. Early results have 97 percent of the voters saying no.
