WALLA WALLA — The city of Walla Walla has released the draft of its updated Comprehensive Plan 2046, a 20-year blueprint guiding local growth, housing, transportation and economic development.
The public can review the document on the city’s website ahead of a Walla Walla Planning Commission public hearing scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 1 at Walla Walla City Hall, 14 N. Third Ave.
Under Washington’s Growth Management Act, cities must update their long-term plans every 10 years to address changing community needs and infrastructure demands.
Walla Walla officials developed the current draft following a year of public outreach throughout 2025 and early 2026, which included community surveys, stakeholder interviews and open houses. Residents are invited to attend the June 1 meeting to provide final comments on the plan.
Information about the plan and a PDF of the draft document are available on the City website at wallawallawa.gov/CompPlan.
