PENDLETON – The Blue Mountain Community College rodeo team is sending nine of its athletes to the national finals and President Mark Browning is proud.
“We have the highest number of rodeo athletes who’ve qualified for the national finals in the middle of June in Casper – men’s team, women’s team, reserve champions all headed to Casper,” Browning said.
This was the first year the team was able to host the Northwest finals last month at the new Blue Mountain Equine Center in Pendleton. Browning also believes the success of the team in that event is due to the hard work of the BMCC Rodeo Boosters.
The nine who qualified for a trip to Wyoming are Sloan McFarlane, Rayna Currin, Paige Gartner, Addison Arnzen, Garrett Jepson, Conner Talbott, Cutter Marsh, Marcus Marriott, and Colby Wood.
