Hood River-White Salmon Bridge to be lifted Saturday morning, delaying traffic

HOOD RIVER – The Hood River-White Salmon Interstate Bridge will be fully closed to all traffic for up to an hour Saturday morning, possibly causing some delays for travelers in the Columbia River Gorge this weekend.

The closure will take place from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. to accommodate passage for a vessel. The Port of Hood River said they delay could be shorter, but that with a 100-year old bridge, “some delays are always possible.”
