Flooding in Weston, high water in Athena

ATHENA & WESTON – The Umatilla County Emergency Operations Center reports Wildhorse Creek in Athena and Pine Creek in Weston are at bankful status.

Weston has declared an emergency asking for volunteers to help fill sandbags. They also say those who are experiencing flooding but who aren’t in immediate danger, should call Weston City Hall at 541-566-3313.

The Athena City Park, the parking lot, and the walking bridge off Fifth Street are caused out of precaution. Any Athena residents who have questions or concerns should call Athena City Hall at 541-566-3862.

Anyone in immediate danger or needing help evacuating should call 911.
