WALLA WALLA COUNTY – Reimundo Olivera Perez, 60, of Burbank was sentenced Friday in Walla Walla County Superior Court to 161 months in prison on amended information of rape of a child and child molestation, both in the first degree, and third-degree assault of a child. All three counts are felonies.

Olivera-Perez pleaded guilty to all three charges. He’s accused of committing crimes against children known to him in Burbank between Oct. 29, 2014, and Oct. 29, 2019. According to the court documents, one victim was under the age of 12 and the other, under the age of 13, when the crimes began.

After the alleged crimes were reported, Olivera-Perez’s blue Ford pickup was found abandoned at a Seattle gas station, suggesting he might have fled to family in Mexico, Oregon, Utah, or California.

U.S. Marshals and Walla Walla County authorities successfully located and apprehended Perez in Southern California. He was then extradited back to Walla Walla County in April 2025.
