PENDLETON – A few spaces remain in InterMountain Education Service District’s (IMESD) “ADHD: What do parents need to know” gathering tomorrow (Wednesday) in Pendleton.

IMESD Superintendent Mark Mulvihill says that over the years, much has been learned about attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and this session should be helpful for anyone dealing with ADHD.

“Whether this is students, whether this is adults and family, it’s an opportunity,” Mulvihill said. “It’s an opportunity. I’d call it ADHD 101, providing information and helpful tools for families.”

At the free gathering, IMESD School Psychologist Liz Durant will address types and risk factors, strategies for home and school support, and available resources. There will also be a question and answer session.

The meeting is at Pendleton IMESD headquarters from 5:30-7 p.m. Light refreshments will be available. Those with questions may contact Emily Williams at 541-966-3139. People can register at ADHD: What Parents Need to Know | InterMountain Events or by using the QR code in the graphic above.
