Multiple agencies respond to Drip Tape Fire in Ontario

On March 28, 2026, at approximately 11:04 PM, Ontario Fire & Rescue (OFR) was dispatched to a report of a vegetation fire near the Ontario underpass. Engine 103 (crew of 2) received the call and requested a general page. 103 arrived and set up fire command and began water supply and fire attack operations. It was found that a large pile of drip tape had ignited, exposing several storage sheds and billboard to fire damage. OFR requested mutual aid assistance from Fruitland and Payette fire departments. Eventually, crews were able to stop the fire spread. In total, 6 fire engines took part in the operation. Ontario Police Department and Treasure Valley Paramedics also assisted fire crews. There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
