ARLINGTON – The charge of reckless driving against Umatilla County Sheriff Terry Rowan was dismissed Friday by Judge John A. Olson of the Seventh Circuit Court.
“It is hereby ordered that defendant Terry L. Rowan has abided by the terms of the Diversion Agreement and that count is hereby dismissed,” the order reads.
A charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants was dismissed earlier after Rowan entered a no-contest plea and completed his diversion agreement on that charge. His blood alcohol content was 0.19 when he was taken into custody in Gilliam County. The arrest occurred in May 2025.
A driver reportedly called in a complaint about an erratic driver. He was stopped by a deputy for the Gilliam County Sheriff’s Office at milepost 132 of Interstate 84. Due to the equipment inside his vehicle, it was stored securely in Arlington for Umatilla County to retrieve.
