PENDLETON – The Pendleton High School class of 2026 will graduate in the Happy Canyon Arena instead of the Pendleton Round-Up Grounds. The move was made necessary because of work that’s being done inside the rodeo arena.
“We are doing some improvements to our arena and sprinkler system,” Round-Up General Manager Erica Patton said of the reason for the change of location.
The Happy Canyon Arena has a normal seating capacity of 3,800 people. It is used for the Round-Up & Happy Canyon Kick-Off Concert, Xtreme Bulls, and the Happy Canyon Night Show during Round-Up week. The high school graduation will be at 3 p.m. on May 31.
Patton said the work will be completed before the Pendleton Whisky Music Fest in July.
“We will have it all put back together and ready for Whisky Fest,” she said.
