ENTERPRISE/WALLOWA – The Oregon Community Foundation has announced the second wave of grants as part of the Culture Rebuilding Fund. This is a three-year effort in collaboration with other philanthropic organizations and state government agencies to secure significant investments in the arts and cultural sector totaling $52 million dollars. This “Love Letter to the arts,” as the Oregon Community Foundation called it, was organized in response to pandemic-era losses and to help restore the state’s arts and culture sector.
In a recent release, the Oregon Community Foundation announced that 277 grants were allocated across all 36 counties, totaling $7,048,300 in total grant funds. Among the recipients were three Wallowa County Organizations; Maxville Heritage Interpretive Center and Wallowa Valley Music Alliance in Enterprise and Wallowa History Center Inc., based in Wallowa.
