No injuries reported in vehicle incident at motel in John Day

JOHN DAY – The Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle mishap at the Sunset Inn yesterday evening. Grant County 9-1-1 logs show that the incident occurred around 5:14 p.m. Sheriff Todd McKinley explained that a guest at the inn had mistakenly thought their rented vehicle was in reverse, when it proceeded forward and drove through the upstairs breezeway. The driver is from Italy. Luckily, no injuries were reported.
