Officer Involved Shooting, One Suspect Deceased, No Officers Injured

NAMPA (Released from Nampa Police Department)-On March 3, 2026, at 2:03 p.m., two Nampa Police Officers conducted a traffic stop at N. 21st Street and Industrial Rd. in Nampa on a known suspect with a confirmed felony warrant and reportedly armed with a gun. During the traffic stop, the suspect produced a handgun, did not follow the officer’s commands, and shots were fired from both officers.

The driver was struck in the hands, and his injuries are not life-threatening.

The passenger, who produced the gun, was struck multiple times, and after life-saving efforts on scene, he was pronounced deceased.

The Canyon County Critical Incident Task Force (CITF) was alerted and responded. The lead investigating agency is the Caldwell Police Department. Further press release information will be provided by Caldwell PD.
