WALLOWA COUNTY – (Release from Wallowa Memorial Hospital) Wallowa Memorial (WM) is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for its annual scholarship program, designed to support Wallowa County residents in their pursuit of higher education.
This year, WM is offering three individual $1,000 scholarships; two scholarships are dedicated to graduating high school seniors, and one scholarship is available for a “non-traditional” student—defined as any resident pursuing higher education, regardless of age or current career stage.
While the program is open to various fields of study, WM notes that preference will be given to individuals pursuing education related to healthcare. Applicants must be residents of Wallowa County and be admitted to or currently attending an accredited institution, such as a trade school, community college, or university.
Interested candidates can find the application on the hospital’s website, www.wchcd.org. Completed applications must be submitted no later than the April 6th deadline. There are two ways to submit an application. Applicants can email their completed application to anna.hayter@wchcd.org or drop off physical copies at the Wallowa Memorial Hospital Human Resources Department, located within the main hospital building at 601 Medical Parkway, Enterprise.
Applicants should also be prepared to meet with the scholarship selection committee if requested during the review process.
Wallowa Memorial Hospital is committed to the health and well-being of the Wallowa County community. Through these scholarships, the hospital aims to invest in the next generation of professionals and support the educational aspirations of its youth.
