UNION COUNTY – Proper learning requires proper nutrition, and Union County’s retired educators are ensuring students get both. In a recent update, the Union County Retired Educators club announced they presented a check for $175 dollars to the Union County Backpack program to purchase oranges for student meals. The fruit made its way into 238 backpacks, distributed to schools across the county.

The check was presented by club member Carol Kroll (left) to Backpack Program member Kara Joseph and program chairperson Heather Null.
