PENDLETON – The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife is moving earth as it prepares for a new regional headquarters building on Southwest 37th Street in Pendleton.

Pendleton Public Works Director Jeff Brown says the soil at the site is rocky.

“They’re actually drilling this week,” he said. “If you drive by that area, you can see the drilling machine out there. We’ve got the blasting plan and there will be public notice.”

Brown said once the blasting plan is formalized, notices will be posted on the city’s website and social media pages. The contractor will notify the city of the exact date. The current ODFW office in Pendleton is at 73471 Mytinger Lane.
