Wallowa County Planning Commission Public Notice
Summary
PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE IS GIVEN, the Wallowa County Planning Commission will be conducting a hearing which will include a legislative agenda item during the Tuesday, January 27, 2026, meeting that begins at 7:00 p.m., in the Thorton Conference Room of the Wallowa County Courthouse. This hearing will include: WC TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS PLAN TEXT AMMENDMENT AMD#25-02 FINDINGS – An amendment to the County’s comprehensive plan requires a minimum of two public meetings, the first of which is with the Planning Commission. This request to designate the WURA Right-Of-Way from Wallowa to Joseph as “priority grazing area” has been submitted by a private citizen, Alicia Zinni, as an amendment to the text of the Wallowa County Transportation Systems Plan, which is part of the Comprehensive Plan. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation to the Board of Commissioners where the final public meeting will be held. The Board of Commissioners renders the decision in a legislative application. These matters will be reviewed for conformance to the WCCLUP and all relevant WCLDO articles, and any other applicable goal, regulation or ordinance of Wallowa County or the State of Oregon. All applications and staff reports may be reviewed in the Planning Dept. Monday – Thursday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Written comments must be received by the Wallowa County Planning Department – 101 S River St. Room 106, Enterprise OR 97828 – by 3:00 pm on Monday, January 26, 2025. Oral comments may be given at the time of the hearing, which is open to the public. For persons with disabilities that wish to attend, please call at least 24 hours before the meeting so accommodations may be made.
