WESTON – A historic house in Weston is getting some work done. Weston Area Development Association (WADA) President and Treasurer Trish Neal said the house was turned over to her organization by the Umatilla County Pioneer Association in 2024.
“A lot of people don’t think we’ve been doing anything on the house, but there’s been a lot of work completed over the years,” Neal said. “Our biggest project right now is installing a foundation under the house. Then we can start restoration on the rest of the house.”
That’s not the only structure WADA is working to improve. Neal said the group is working to preserve the Weston City Hall building, which was formerly the Farmers Bank of Weston.
WADA has a website, Welcome to Weston! – Weston Area Development Association. There they post information about the work that’s underway, plans for the future, and events in the city.
