One man arrested following break in and assault at La Grande apartments

LA GRANDE – On Thursday, January 1st, The La Grande Police Department arrested 39-year-old Bryon Patrick Gleason following a break in and assault at an apartment along 26th Street in La Grande.

According to the La Grande Police Department, officers responded at 4:17 a.m. to a report of a burglary and assault that had just occurred at the apartment. The investigation revealed that Gleason had forced entry into the residence of an acquaintance. Once inside the apartment, Gleason reportedly “began inhaling Dust Off,” and acting aggressively toward the residents.

Gleason subsequently refused to leave and proceeded to inappropriately touch a female resident. When the apartment’s occupants attempted to force Gleason to leave, a physical altercation ensued between him and two individuals. Both victims reportedly sustained minor injuries during the altercation, with Gleason eventually being forced out before officers arrived.

Gleason was subsequently located at the Sundowner Trailer Court at around 10:48 p.m. that evening and arrested. His specific charges at the time of arrest, according to a recent LGPD press log, were Assault IV, Burglary I, Criminal Mischief II, and Harassment-Offensive Physical Contact.
