HARNEY COUNTY-Monday, December 22, 2025 is the last day to sign up for the City of Burns annual Christmas lighting contest. If you would like to participate, you can pick up an entry form at Burns City Hall, Harney County Chamber or OTEC. Viewing will begin at 5:30pm.
Prizes for 1st place will be $100 OTEC credit, $100 City of Burns Credit and a $50 Dollar General certificate. 2nd place will win $50 OTEC credit, $50 City of Burns Credit and a $30 Dollar General certificate and 3rd place will be awarded $25 OTEC credit, $25 City of Burns Credit and a $20 Dollar General certificate.
The City of Hines Christmas lighting contest will also take place tonight, Monday, December 22, 2025 from 5:00pm to 10:00pm. To participate, all you must do is have your light on.
Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded.
