Malheur National Forest to undergo pile burning through Nov. 28th

GRANT COUNTY – John Day Interagency Dispatch reports that fire officials will be conducting prescribed burning operations today, November 24th. The Blue Mountain Ranger District will be treating around 200 acres in the Magone Pile unit.

Ignitions are planned for November 24th through the 28th.  AS always, prescribed burning operations are dependent on weather conditions and smoke management capabilities. After ignitions are complete, smoke will be visible for a several days.
