LA GRANDE – The Annual La Grande Main Street Holiday Parade of Lights, sponsored by Monkeys on the Run, is coming up Friday, November 28. Like previous years, a portion of Adams Avenue in downtown La Grande will be closed to accommodate the parade and surrounding festivities.

According to the La Grande Police Department, Adams Avenue between Hemlock Street and 4th Street will be closed from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. that evening. The Parade itself will begin at 6:00 p.m., starting at Hemlock Street and moving west down Adams toward 4th Street. Immediately following the parade, a tree lighting will take place at Max Square from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., including a chance to meet Santa!

As always, drivers are reminded to plan an alternative route through La Grande in advance. Motorists should also be mindful of greatly increased foot traffic downtown before, during, and immediately after the event.
