WALLA WALLA – Work continues on the Myra Road South Extension Project in Walla Walla with plans to reopen Taumarson Road by the end of November, weather permitting.
The contractor has finished pouring the center and splitter islands at the roundabout on Taumarson Road, with work continuing at Highland Road. Additionally, paving at the Taumarson/Myra intersection is scheduled soon.
According to the city of Walla Walla, the $12 million Myra Road South Extension Project will connect Myra Road from SR-125 south to Taumarson Road, linking the south Walla Walla area with US-12. This partnership-driven infrastructure project will unlock over 50 acres of vacant land, aiding in job creation, housing, shopping, reducing congestion, and improving emergency response times for the community.
