Woman charged with stealing $40K or more from Baker City business

BAKER CITY — A plea hearing will be held in Baker County Circuit Court next month for a woman who is facing four separate felony charges of Aggravated Theft in the First Degree in connection with a local bakery.

Tana Jo Molina, 51, was arrested by the Baker City Police Department on October 3rd, 2025 and has been charged with four counts of Aggravated Theft in the First Degree following an arraignment held on October 6th. While the exact figures have not been disclosed, a Secret Indictment filed September 25th shows that Molina is accused of stealing $40,000 or more from Sweet Wife Baking in Baker City. The thefts allegedly took place between August 12th, 2023, and May 21st, 2025.

Molina is scheduled to enter a plea on November 3rd, 2025 in Baker County Circuit Court.
