A Burns Oregon woman arrested for assault with a baseball bat

BURNS (Released from Hines Police Department)-In the early morning hours on September 30, 2025, Burns and Hines Police Departments responded to an address in Burns for a Domestic Violence call.

Upon arrival, officers observed a male suffering from head injuries caused by a baseball bat.

After an initial investigation, 36-year-old Kaley Soma, of Burns, was arrested for Assault II, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Harassment.

Soma was arrested and housed at the Harney County Jail.
