VALE — The Malheur County Sheriff’s Office has a new corrections deputy—and one with accolades, at that. Recently, Deputy Saber Harp graduated Basic Corrections training in Salem and was also presented the Victor G. Atiyeh Award.
The Malheur County Sheriff’s Office writes, “Named after the former Governor of Oregon, Victor G. Atiyeh, this award honors those who exemplify outstanding leadership, professionalism, academic achievement, fitness, and survival skills — qualities that Governor Atiyeh himself upheld throughout his distinguished career.
Deputy Harp’s achievement is a reflection of personal dedication, the high standards set by the academy, and the excellent training he had from his trainers and coworkers.”
MCSO welcomed Deputy Harp to the team in a social media post. Pictured are Sergeant Griffith, Deputy Harp, and FTO Deputy Howard.
