Red Flag Warning in Harney County has been extended through Thursday

HARNEY COUNTY-A Red Flag Warning is now in effect until 11:00pm Thursday for lightning for Burns BLM and Southern Grasslands, which are fire weather zones 670 and 672.
Scattered thunderstorms with abundant lightning will develop this afternoon and evening across portions of southeast Oregon. While some storms will produce wetting rainfall, areas outside of thunderstorm cores will be especially susceptible to new starts. Gusty outflow winds up to 60 mph are possible near storms.
A system will cause isolated to scattered thunderstorm development to continue across southeast Oregon overnight into Thursday morning. While storm coverage should be lower, storms are expected to be drier. As the system lifts north, scattered thunderstorms will expand across the entire area Thursday afternoon into Thursday evening. Storms Thursday may also contain brief heavy rain and gusty outflow winds up to 60 mph.
