Wallowa School District Contracts with Wallowa County ESD for Superintendent Services

WALLOWA – (Release from the Wallowa School District) The Wallowa School District Board of Directors is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with Wallowa County Education Service District (ESD) to provide superintendent services for the 2025–2026 school year.

This decision follows careful consideration by the board and reflects the district’s commitment to maintaining strong leadership while ensuring efficient use of resources. The contract with Wallowa County ESD will provide Wallowa School District with continued access to experienced administrative guidance through a shared service model. Board Chair Matt Howard shared the following statement:


“The Wallowa School Board is confident that this partnership with Wallowa County ESD will provide the stability and professional expertise needed to support our students, staff, and community. This decision reflects our values of collaboration, local stewardship, and doing what is best for Wallowa students. We look forward to working closely with ESD leadership to maintain continuity and excellence in our schools.”

Wallowa County ESD Superintendent Landon Braden also expressed his support:
