WALLA WALLA – (Release From Walla Walla Police Department) On June 6, 2025, at approximately 11:45 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 1600 block of Cambridge following multiple reports of a large fight and an assault involving a baseball bat. Upon arrival, officers located a victim who had been struck with a bat during the altercation. That individual was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Shortly after the initial response, and in the same area, officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting. A second victim was located with a non-life-threatening gunshot injury and was also transported to the hospital for treatment before being released.
Preliminary investigation suggests that both incidents are related to a party that was taking place in the 1600 block of Cambridge. Officers recovered multiple spent shell casings at the scene. In addition, a nearby residence—unrelated to the individuals involved—was struck by gunfire. Spent rounds were found inside the home. Two people were inside the residence at the time of the shooting, but neither was injured.
Detectives responded and have taken over the investigation. The shooting victim has been uncooperative, and at this time no suspects have been identified. Preliminary information suggests the incident may not have been random.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Colin at 509-527-4434 at the Walla Walla Police Department.
