Fire Ready Internship Program is ready for students

HARNEY COUNTY-Burns Fire Chief Scott Williamson, Hines Fire Chief Doug Murphy and Aaron Johnston with High Desert Partnership spoke about the Fire Ready Internship open to high school students. The Fire Ready Internship Program is working with all the fire agencies around Harney County.

Chief Williamson spoke about the Up Staffing Grant the City of Burns was awarded and also about the City of Burns receiving a new type 3 fire truck at the end of June.

Lastly Chief Murphy and Chief Williamson spoke about Obsidian Day’s and the Firemen’s Breakfast and Firewise Day’s coming up.
