HERMISTON – The Hermiston School District is making key administrative appointments for the 2025-26 school year. Familiar faces will be stepping into pivotal leadership roles throughout the district.
Delfino Osorio Garcia has been named principal of Armand Larive Middle School. He began with the district as a math and science teacher and then expanded his impact as a secondary instructional coach. Under the mentorship of Director of Secondary Education Scott DePew, Osorio Garcia developed into what the district describes as an exceptional leader.
Heather Mills will join Osorio Garcia to serve as assistant principal. Mills has served the district since 2015, with her initial role being an elementary school educator. She then transitioned into the role of instructional coach at Desert View Elementary School. Working closely with Director of Elementary Education Jerad Farley, Mills is considered instrumental in cultivating a vibrant learning community.
Kurt Neville will be the assistant principal at Hermiston High School. Neville joined the district in 2021 as assistant principal at Sandstone Middle School. Meanwhile, Matt Morgan, who served as dean of students at the high school, will assume the assistant principal position at Sandstone.
“I am incredibly proud to see continued professional growth within our HSD community, reflected through these leadership transitions,” Superintendent Tricia Mooney said. “Delfino, Heather, Kurt, and Matt have each demonstrated exceptional dedication and commitment to student success. It is inspiring to watch them step into new leadership roles, bringing fresh perspectives and sustained passion to their positions.”
