PENDLETON – Umatilla High School senior Briseida Mendoza recently earned first place in the teen division at the Pendleton Center for the Arts Open Regional Art Show. Her piece, “Lost in My Thoughts,” was selected out of a total of 167 submissions by artists across the region, according to the Umatilla School District.
The Open Regional Art Exhibit is a long-standing showcase that highlights the talents of local artists of all skill levels in a wide variety of media. All of the entries are on display in the East Oregonian Gallery through April 25.
The Pendleton Center for the Arts is at 214 North Main St. Its hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from noon-4 p.m. More information about the exhibits and the many other classes, programs, and entertainment at the Arts Center is available at https://pendletonarts.org/.
