HERMISTON – Hermiston police officers responded to a disturbance in the Hermiston High School parking lot, 600 First St. on Saturday at about 11:45 a.m. Police Chief Jason Edmiston says that Kayson Joshua Hackett, 21, had been trespassed from the property for 99 years.

Police report that Hackett blocked in another vehicle with his Honda Civic, preventing its owner from leaving the parking lot. Edmiston added that Hackett also entered the other vehicle, grabbing the victim’s phone to prevent her from calling 911.

Hackett was transported to Umatilla County Jail but was denied lodging because he claimed to have had a seizure during the trip. He was then taken to St. Anthony Medical Center where he was medically cleared and transferred back to the jail.

He faces charges of unauthorized entry to a motor vehicle, interfering with making a report, first-degree criminal trespass, reckless driving, violation of a restraining order, and contempt of court.
