Grant County residents report “Publisher’s Clearinghouse Scam”

GRANT COUNTY – Someone called into the station this morning to inform our newsroom that the Publisher’s Clearinghouse Scam was going around again. The caller said the scammer claimed to be from Publisher’s Clearinghouse and requested financial and personal information.
As a reminder, never give out this type of information over the telephone. Publisher’s Clearinghouse will come to your house if you’ve won, and do not require the financial information that the scammers are requesting. If you receive a call like this, hang up, and most importantly, do not give them the information they’re looking for.
