Update from ODOT aws of 3:25pm: I-84 has fully reopened between La Grande and Ontario. Expect an extended delay on I-84 westbound near Arlington.

UPDATE: All lanes of I-84 between La Grande and Ontario are now open. Blowing snow and low visibility closed the highway earlier this afternoon.

OR 78 is also open after blowing and drifting snow closed the highway earlier this morning.

Winter weather is expected to continue into Friday throughout eastern Oregon, so please use caution if you must travel and check TripCheck.com for the latest road and weather conditions.

Update as of 3:19PM: I-84 has fully reopened between La Grande and Ontario. Expect an extended delay on I-84 westbound near Arlington.

Update as of 2:55pm: I-84 is now open EASTBOUND from La Grande to Baker City. I-84 westbound at Ontario is again open to truck traffic. ODOT reports that I-84 remains closed westbound from Baker City to La Grande.

Update as of 2:31pm: Expect an extended delay on westbound Interstate 84 due to a crash near milepost 137.
Further west, I-84 is closed from Hood River (milepost 64) to four miles west of Multnomah Falls (milepost 27) due to multiple crashes involving more than 20 vehicles. Winter weather conditions caused a white-out scenario amid slippery road conditions in the Columbia River Gorge

Update as of 2:15pm. According to Union County Sheriff Cody Bowen, Hwy203 between La Grande and Union is now open

Update from ODOT as of 1:30pm

I-84 is closed in both directions between La Grande, Exit 265, and Baker City, Exit 302.
I-84 westbound is closed to trucks between Ontario, Exit 374, and Baker City, Exit 302. Local traffic only at this time.
Closures are due to blowing and drifting snow with visibility less than 500 feet. This could be an extended closure until the winds die down. Avoid travel until conditions improve.
OR 78 remains closed between Burns and Burns Junction.

I-84 is closed both eastbound and westbound between La Grande and Baker City

I-84 is closed to trucks westbound at Ontario due to severe weather.

Hwy 203 between exit 265 (Flying J, outside of La Grande) and Union is closed
