EOLS showmen must complete YQCA by May 1st

BAKER CITY/ LA GRANDE โ€” The OSU Extension Office in Baker County recently issued a reminder to young showmen who are planning to take animals to the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show. Each person showing an animal must complete the Youth for the Quality Care of Animals training by May 1st.

According to YQCAโ€™s website, Youth for the Quality Care of Animals is a national multi-species quality assurance program for youth ages 8 to 21 with a focus on three core pillarsโ€”Food Safety, Animal Well-Being, and Character Development.
