City of Halfway says to report problematic dogs to City Hall

HALFWAY — Officials with the City of Halfway have issued a public announcement regarding some dogs that may be problematic in town. Read the full statement below:

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
Several steps have been taken to address a group of dogs causing various issues in town. Many reports have been filed with Baker County Sheriff’s Office by the City of Halfway regarding this issue. And steps are being taken at that level to resolve this. Separate reports have been filed with Oregon State Police and the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. However without follow up reports made to City Hall, we cannot proactively address these or similar issues. The Mayor has been working on this and like issues with Baker County Sheriff’s Office, including the events taking place tonight. Please file reports at City Hall. If you are unable to go to City Hall reach out to the Mayor who can, with the [complainant’s] permission, file a report to follow up on. Thank you for your cooperation.
