UPDATE: I-84 now open

Update from ODOT as of 3:20 p.m.: I-84 eastbound between La Grande and Ontario is now open after an extended delay. OR 245, U.S. 30, OR 203 and OR 237 south of Union are also open. It may take time for traffic to clear in some areas. Winter weather is expected to continue into the weekend, so please use caution while traveling and check TripCheck.com for road and weather conditions.

Update from ODOT as of 1:59pm: I-84 eastbound is now closed between Exit 265 in La Grande and Baker City. This closure is needed to reduce the amount of traffic going into Baker City, where vehicles have been stopped since 9:30 this morning. OR 203 and OR 237 south of Union are restricted to local traffic only and are not viable routes for interstate traffic.
*I-84 eastbound remains closed between Exit 304 in Baker City and Exit 374 in Ontario due to a crash earlier this morning at milepost 332 (2 miles east of the Plano Road Interchange).
Crews continue working to remove the truck and clean up diesel. The closure is expected to continue for several more hours. Delay travel if possible

Update as of 1:15pm: The I-84 closure has been extended to La Grande. I-84 is now closed eastbound from La Grande to Ontario. Westbound lanes remain open.

Update as of 12:10pm from ODOT

I-84 eastbound remains closed between Exit 304 in Baker City and Exit 374 in Ontario due to a crash at milepost 332 (2 miles east of the Plano Road Interchange). Traffic stuck at the scene at the time of the incident has been cleared. Crews continue working to remove the truck from the guardrail and clean up diesel. The closure is expected to continue for several more hours. Delay travel if possible. If you do travel, be prepared for delays and winter travel conditions. Stay on main highways and avoid following GPS navigation devices, as they could lead you onto routes that are in worse condition or not maintained during winter.

Update for ODOT as of 9:53am: I-84 eastbound is closed between Exit 304 in Baker City and Exit 374 in Ontario due to a crash at milepost 332 (2 miles east of the Plano Road Interchange). OR 245 is closed at the junction with OR7. U.S. 30, at milepost 54, is closed with no access to I-84. Local traffic only on OR 245 and U.S. 30. The closure may last several hours. Delay travel if possible. If you do travel, be prepared for delays and winter travel conditions. Stay on main highways and avoid following GPS navigation devices, as they could lead you onto routes that are in worse condition or not maintained during winter.
