PORTLAND – The Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission is issuing product recalls for rice-cereal-treat marijuana edibles sold under the name of Elitextrx 1:1 Crispy because the product label fails to disclose the presence of butter which contains the allergen of milk.
The edibles may have been sold by 19 different recreational marijuana retailers in Oregon from approximately May 2018 to this month. Of the 19 listed, only one is from this area. It is Pendleton Cannabis on Southgate.
The issue was first identified by the Oregon Department of Agriculture Food Safety Program during a routine inspection of a marijuana retailer. The OLCC has issued notices to retailers and other licensees to halt further distribution and sale. The OLCC states that the product poses a risk to public health and safety and should not be sold or consumed.
