Warming shelter in Ontario needs volunteers

ONTARIO — The overnight warming shelter in Ontario is looking for a few local volunteers to help in its operation. The shelter needs help with handing out emergency items, food donation distribution monitoring, and attending to individual’s needs. Volunteers will undergo training for the usage of the overdose inhibitor drug Narcan.

The Warming Shelter is located on the Malheur County Fairgrounds in Girvin Hall. For those wishing to volunteer, find the shelter’s contact information in the flyer below:
