Bus crashes into building in Walla Walla

WALLA WALLA – A Kayak Public Transit commuter bus crashed into a building in Walla Walla Wednesday evening, the Walla Walla Police Department said.

Witnesses told police another vehicle tried merging into the same lane the bus was in. The bus then accelerated into a business on the 500 block of South Ninth Avenue as a result. A utility pole was also struck.

Authorities said only the male driver was on board the bus. He denied medical attention.
