Morris is jailed on attempted murder charge

UMATILLA COUNTY – Darryl Bruce Morris, 37, was transported to Umatilla County Jail Wednesday facing felony charges related to a domestic violence incident that occurred on Sept. 30.

He was arraigned Thursday and is being held on $150,000 bail. Chief Deputy District Attorney Jaclyn Jenkins says his case is assigned to Sixth Circuit Court Judge Jon Lieuallen and his next appearance will be a pretrial conference on Dec. 30. Jenkins was contacted after hours and did not have information with her about where Morris resides.

He faces numerous charges. They are first-degree attempted murder, second-degree assault, two counts of strangulation, fourth-degree assault, coercion, menacing, and reckless endangering.
