Woman sentenced to Grant County Jail for animal neglect

CANYON CITY – It’ll be jail time and more for a woman found guilty of animal neglect in Grant County Circuit Court. Dora May Hunt, 34, was found guilty by a jury on November 21st of one count of Animal Neglect in the Second Degree, committed in June of 2024.
Hunt was sentenced to 120 hours in the Grant County Jail and placed on Bench Probation for 12 months with special conditions. Hunt is to report to jail by December 2nd.
