BAKER CITY — The Baker City Christmas Tree is in its place in downtown Baker City, getting ready to be lit for the holiday season. The city reports that this year’s tree was donated by the McCoy family and was cut down by Chuck Carey. Chuck has reportedly been the Baker City Christmas Tree sawyer every year since 1997.

The effort was made possible by Baker City Public Works, Oregon Trail Electric Co-op, Superior Towing, and The Baker City Police Department.

This year’s annual tree lighting ceremony will be held on Saturday, December 7th, following the Twilight Parade.
